Arrowmont Showcase and Supply is seeking a Retail Intern. This team position is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the Arrowmont Supply Store and Showcase Gallery of Art to meet operating and financial goals for the organization. The ideal candidate would have a breadth of knowledge of art supplies and studio art practices across many different mediums. The position implements policies and procedures to ensure excellent customer service, accurate inventory control, financial management, and to support programmatic needs for instructors and students and serve the community-at-large. The intern will be responsible for closing and opening the store at times and will need to be able to work effectively and independently under the guidance of the Retail and Logistics Manager.  

• Open to first and second year students in business management, human resources, or a related field preferred. 
• Working knowledge of databases. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent organization and team-building skills. 
• Excellent oral and written communications skills  
• Detail oriented and effective problem-solver 
• Ability to travel when required 
• Belief in Arrowmont’s mission (“enriching lives through art and craft”)
