This position is responsible for working with the Safety Management team in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of park safety operations including the following: Health Department requirements, OSHA requirements and procedures, ASTM, and ADA.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead With Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
- Support operational safety audits to ensure compliance with park, government and HFE policies
- Participate in Safety, Management, and Team Lead meetings.
- Learn basic leadership skills to include budgets, employee performance, and accompanying Human Resource policies.
- Assist with creating and implementing improvements in safety, guest excellence, profit contribution and job satisfaction.
- Review and make recommendations to Safety Management on current property procedures looking for improvements in efficiencies and compliance.
- Assist with Safety team projects including surveys, appreciation events, team outings and company parties.
- Learn and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Dollywood policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Assist Safety Management team with various tasks.
- Completing a minimum of one project benefitting the focus area as determined by Management.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field.
- Must have basic computer skills with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Able to type at least 35 wpm.
- Valid TN driver’s license and proof of personal liability insurance according to state law.
- Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees.
- Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work.
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined.
- Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
- Must be committed to continuous improvement.
- Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Must promote and support a “team” work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers.
- Must be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
