Job Summary
The Social Media & Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Team in developing and executing digital marketing initiatives that promote the company's portfolio of 11 restaurant concepts. This position combines creative content creation, social media management, marketing collaboration, and administrative support while providing hands-on experience in hospitality marketing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop, implement, and maintain engaging social media content strategies for 11 restaurant brands.
- Create, capture, edit, and produce high-quality photos and videos for use across social media platforms and other marketing channels.
- Design branded graphics, promotional materials, and digital content using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and other creative tools.
- Research and monitor emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to recommend innovative content ideas and improve audience engagement.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to promote seasonal menus, special events, limited-time offers, and other restaurant initiatives, ensuring marketing efforts align with operational goals.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple social media platforms.
- Monitor social media channels for brand consistency, engagement opportunities, and overall account performance.
- Conduct regular audits of company social media accounts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
- Provide general administrative support to the office, including copying and preparing new hire paperwork, answering phones, data entry, filing, and other office duties as assigned.
- Assist with additional marketing projects and special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Experience with Canva and Adobe Photoshop; basic video editing skills are preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Additional Qualification
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel independently to all restaurant locations throughout Sevier County, including Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, as needed for content creation, marketing initiatives, meetings, and special events.
