This job description provides a basic guideline of the duties, responsibilities and requirements of this position. - SAFETY AND SECURITY: Be alert to hazards and responsible in carrying out hotel’s safety, security, and emergency procedures; suggest ways to improve safety conditions that reduce or prevent accidents and injuries; participate on safety committee or other special projects for safety; actively seek and report potential security risks or hazardous conditions.
- BELL SERVICE: Demonstrate guest service by assisting with luggage and special requests; meet standards for cleaning assigned areas including parking lot, lobby and entrance doors, assist other departments as needed.
- VEHICLE OPERATIONS: Transport guests in a timely and safe manner; receive infrequent guest complaints about transportation services; properly maintain the appearance of the vehicles and the mileage log with the typical amount of supervision; no moving citations.
- CLEANING/MAINTENANCE: Meet the hotel standards for cleanliness; clean assigned areas on schedule; pass inspections; maintain local health department standards; performs general repairs in a satisfactory and timely manner; keeps tools and equipment clean and secure; completes preventive maintenance duties on schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Constantly. Explain room features to guests, general location of areas of interest and available services.
- Constantly. Inform guests about all hotel facilities, their locations and hours of operation.
- Constantly. Meet and greet guests.
- Constantly. Take guest and their luggage to and from their rooms.
- Frequently. Inspect guestrooms for general condition of lights, heat, A/C, television, radio and bathrooms.
- Frequently. Provide information on local attractions and give directions.
- Occasionally. Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Constantly. Assist guests with towels, furniture, information, and other related services.
- Constantly. Maintain a daily ledger of pool and spa readings.
- Constantly. Maintain work area neat and organized.
- Constantly. Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Frequently. Assist with the repair and maintenance of the pools, spas, and fountains.
- Frequently. Clean and maintain pools, spas, and fountains.
OTHER JOB DUTIES
- Frequently. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
- Occasionally. Deliver messages and/or packages to meeting and guestrooms.
- Occasionally. Service electric carts and vehicles when needed.
- Frequently. Patrol sauna, exercise room, lockers room, and surrounding areas.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- SITTING: Constantly. Driving van for long periods of time.
- STANDING/WALKING: Constantly. Stands/walks on cement and asphalt up to several miles per shift.
- CROUCHING (BEND AT KNEES): Frequently. Unloading and loading luggage in and out of vehicles.
- KNEELING/CRAWLING: Rarely.
- STOOPING (BEND AT WAIST): Frequently. Must bend while loading and unloading carts, vehicles, busses, etc.
- TWISTING (KNEES/WAIST/NECK): Frequently. Driving carts, vehicles.
- CLIMBING: Frequently. Climb stairs.
- BALANCING: Frequently. Carrying items.
- LEG/FOOT USE: Constantly. Must have quick leg and foot reaction for safe passenger vehicle operation.
- REACHING (OVERHEAD/EXTENSION): Frequently. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. 6½ feet over head for loading and unloading carts.
- HANDLING/GRASPING: Frequently. Handling of boxes, bags, luggage, etc. Grasping doorknobs and handles.
- FINGERING/FEELING: Rarely.
- PUSHING/PULLING: Occasionally. Average weight 40 lbs.; Maximum weight 500 lbs. with cart.
- LIFTING/CARRYING: Frequently. Average weight 40 lbs.; maximum weight 80 lbs.

Qualifications
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Six months cleaning and maintaining chemicals for pool (preferred)
• CPR certified (preferred)
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
