We are looking for an intern to join our Recruiting and Engagment team in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The successful individual will leverage their budding proficiency in Recruitment/Human Resources to work within our Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development teams. This internship will provide exposure to talent sourcing, talent mapping, project management, and internal hiring processes. The internship will provide a strong foundational knowledge of recruiting operations, learning and development, and internal stakeholder management.
Essential Functions:
• Works closely with various members of Amtrak’s Talent Acquisition team to enhance comprehension of recruitment processes, strategies, and best practices. • Act as primary support for the Corporate Recruitment team. • Learn the full recruitment process, from approval/requisition creation through to onboarding a new hire. • Source resumes and schedule interviews as needed. • Phone screen applicants. • Schedule candidate interviews. • Participate in business focused recruitment strategy meetings • Work objectively with solid judgement to influence candidate selection decisions. • Assist with projects aligned with process improvements and recruitment development • May support other recruiting activities as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution. • Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication, Psychology, Marketing or other relevant degree. • Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum. • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
