Description
One 0f the Fastest growing Parks in the US is looking for an intern to join our Human Resources team in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The successful individual will leverage their budding proficiency in Human Resources to work within our Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development teams. This internship will provide exposure to talent sourcing, talent mapping, project management, and internal hiring processes. The internship will provide a strong foundational knowledge of recruiting operations, learning and development, and internal stakeholder management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in key initiatives and projects with the Talent Acquisition team that will continuously improve our recruiting operations
- Support our entry-level program sourcing strategy
- Support workshops, focus groups, and other employee events by preparing and collating materials, contracts, and calendar information
- Conduct learning needs analysis across departments and analyzes data to determine learning needs
- Curate and update content on the organizational learning page
- Assist in developing and designing a new learning page on our intranet site
- Assist in creating communications for the learning and development department
- Research and report on best practices in human resources, talent management, learning and development, employee experience, or other areas
- Supporting projects that contribute to the efficient and effective management of human resources operations and information systems, including validating data, organizing materials, and measuring outcomes
- Assist in contributing to talent inclusion and diversity strategies and pipelines
Qualifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Results-oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious, and who take initiative and risks
- A strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative, showcase curiosity, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manipulate and analyze data - process sets of data to consolidate for stakeholder updates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability for consistent follow-up
- Previous exposure to an HRIS system
- The ability to respond to quick turnaround times
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, easily changing direction as needed
- Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to develop and track metrics
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
EDUCATION:
- Rising Undergraduate Senior
- Must have completed a minimum of three years in an accredited four-year college/university degree program
- A minimum GPA of at least 3.0. Academic transcripts (official or unofficial) will be requested
- Preferred Major and Coursework: Bachelor's in human capital management, HR management, data analysis, business administration, I/O psychology, or a related field or related fields
