Description
Under the direction of the supervising Food and Beverage Outlet Manager to whom the intern reports, the intern will be immersed in the Poolside Food and Beverage operations of a world class resort with exposure to all different aspects of a fast-paced food and beverage environment. The intern will support the Poolside Food and Beverage operation through performing the role of bartender, food runner, and server along with management and administrative duties within Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and the Poolside Food and Beverage operation. In turn, intern will satisfactorily complete individual program requirements to satisfy college/university credit and/or course study requirements if needed. The Dollywood Company will provide the intern:
- The opportunity to complete course credit for the term of the internship

Summary of Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Attend a leadership development class.
- Attend weekly intern meetings to discuss jobs of the week and learn about the different functions of a resort
- Establish and maintain relationships with the current Food and Beverage Team in addition to different resort and restaurant teams.
- Train and work in below sections of internship:
- Server - Take and deliver accurate food and drink orders.
- Host - To greet and seat guests in the Dining Room in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Server Assistant - Clear dishes and reset tables. Deliver food from kitchen to diners.
- Work with the supervising Food and Beverage Outlet Manager on understanding labor goals, service expectations, and reviewing financial results.
- Participate in shadowing opportunity with upper-level management.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Required 3.00 GPA
- Must be a student entering their third year (at the least) at a four year educational institution or entering second year at a two year educational system
- Must currently be enrolled in a related college degree program that will allow the above experience to count as an internship for credit or is relevant to the internship.
- Must have proficient to advanced level of experience with common office software and applications, including Microsoft applications and internet browsers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
