Description
Summary: Responsible for all activities on both resort properties, as well as participation in activities for community-based events. Works as liaison between management, guests and the community to ensure our activities are fun and age-level appropriate while getting our name and Molly and Monty’s image out to the community. Ensures that activities are planned and executed well, staying within budget guidelines. Constantly seeks new venues and activities to keep our community-based outreach growing.
Things You Will Learn: Not only will you learn the entry level position of Activities and Events, but you will also learn the following:
- Daily Resort Activities Programming
- Planning and executing daily activities such as in park activities, kid’s club events, and package delivery.
- Understanding how activity schedules are built to align with occupancy levels and guest demographics
- Event Planning & Execution
- Assisting with resort activities, themed events, and holiday plans.
- Learning how timelines, supplies, staffing, and logistics are coordinated for successful events
- Character & Brand Engagement
- Supporting Molly & Monty appearances and learning how character programming enhances the guest experience
- Ensuring brand standards are upheld during activities and public appearances
- Community Outreach & Off-Property Events
- Participating in community events, school events, and local partnerships
- Learning how off-site activities promote the resort and build community relationships
- Scheduling & Staffing Support
- Assisting with activity schedules and staffing needs across multiple locations
- Understanding how labor is balanced based on seasonality, attendance, and budget
- Inventory Management
- Managing supplies, tracking inventory, and ordering materials needed for daily programming
- Guest Interaction & Engagement
- Developing strong guest-facing skills while leading and assisting with activities
- Learning how to adapt activities based on guest participation, age groups, and feedback
- Safety & Operational Awareness
- Understanding safety guidelines and procedures for activities and events
- Learning how to manage group control, guest flow, and emergency awareness during activities
