Description
Have a passion for Events? Then this Internship is for you! Events Intern is responsible for planning, booking, and delivering a range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special events. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and ensuring the successful execution of high-quality events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to build revenue through weddings, cooperation, and special events.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for each event.
- Assist the Sales Department in developing and presenting comprehensive sales proposals tailored to clients’ needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Oversee all logistical aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, and entertainment.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Proven experience in event planning, with a strong history of delivering successful events.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong organizational skills and diligence in detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Ensure all bookings are successfully conducted from start to finish, including booking, contracts, payments, preparing timelines, vendor communication, continued communication with clients, rehearsal schedules and event day prep.
- Knowledge of wedding and corporate sales, catering services, and hospitality industry practices.
- Searches for and identifies new potential clients, in addition to searching for talent and entertainment for unique events and activities.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique event concepts and experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of group reservations in various tracking documents, including Outlook, Excel, Pipedrive, and the Siriusware reservation system.
- Attend outside events or trade shows to promote Weddings and Corporate events as assigned.
- Coordinates services for decor, audiovisual equipment, security, and food services.
- Works with the Group Sales Department to help implement, book, and conduct group site visits and bookings as needed.
- Knowledge of public assembly ordinances and regulations, public health, safety, and occupancy codes and ordinances.
- Knowledge of current business, tourist trends, fads, fashions, and event planning.
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- College degree in hospitality, business administration or related field preferred.
- Experience in managing unique events and activities is required.
