ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Refers more complex questions to HR Manager or HR Director
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Provides clerical support to the HR department
- May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employees’ questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing paychecks
- Assist with new hire orientation
- Assists with recruiting process (calling and prescreening applicants, drug testing, new hire paperwork, employee IDs, parking passes, etc.)
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
- Attends Job Fairs as directed by the HR Manager or HR Director
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager or HR Director
Qualifications
- Pursuing HR or Business degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources information systems (ADP), and similar computer applications
