ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation
• Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
• Refers more complex questions to HR Manager or HR Director
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
• Provides clerical support to the HR department
• May assist with payroll functions, including processing, answering employees’ questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing paychecks
• Assist with new hire orientation
• Assists with recruiting process (calling and prescreening applicants, drug testing, new hire paperwork, employee IDs, parking passes, etc.)
• Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
• Attends Job Fairs as directed by the HR Manager or HR Director
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager or HR Director

• Pursuing HR or Business degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources information systems (ADP), and similar computer applications
