Internship Purpose:
Exclusive internship for college students interested in an Human Resource Task Team implementation assignment for Smoky Mountain Resorts in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Provides a unique opportunity to use human resources and business knowledge to benefit the HR Team and support management with recruiting, hiring, onboarding and paperless processes.

Primary Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Information management system, innovation and much more. Participate in a SHIP (Southern Hospitality Internship Program) semester and challenge yourself to adapt human resource, an information management system, and business skills learned in the classroom. Build your resume by learning Paycor - HR and Payroll software for payroll, recruiting, human resource, powerful analytics, applicant tracking and streamlining for efficiencies.
Within your respective assignments, you will:
- Use the Paycor System and human resource functions for a successful transition to paperless records.
- Collaborate with the HR Team to provide Paycor analysis.
- Train and assist with in-person interviews for a variety of hospitality positions.
- Utilize professional interview procedures in order to pinpoint the best candidates.
- Comply with Federal, State, County and Company hiring policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned, which may include: Job Fairs, open interviews, special projects, and research projects.

- Multi-tasking and organizational skills with excellent attention-to-detail (ATD).
- Ensure accuracy of data entry combined with the ability to proofread.
- Ability to work as a team.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Enrolled in an accredited University or College, (or recent graduate, up to 2-years) is required.
- Pursuing a degree related to Hospitality, Human Relations or Business is preferred.
- Proficient in the operation of a computer and ability to become knowledgeable with Information Management Systems is required.
- Ability to work within a diverse workforce.
- Must have reliable transportation.
