Working at one Gatlinburg's most exciting mountaintop attractions, SkyLift Park transports guests from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg 1,800 feet above sea-level to the top of Crockett Mountain. Once on park, guests enjoy scenic views and a variety of retail, dining, and attractions, most notably, the record-breaking Gatlinburg Skybridge, North America's longest pedestrian cable bridge.

SkyLift Park has became one of the most popular attractions in Gatlinburg and part of the fabric of the community, and to thousands of visitors, the SkyLift has been a must-do part of their annual trips to Gatlinburg, with many making a tradition of riding the lift every year and collecting a new family photo from the photography service, which captures every chair. This age-old tradition lives on today. We invite you to join the story during your mountaintop internship! Be immersed for 14-weeks in the splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee!

Learn the digital photography business from the experts.  There is so much more to it than pushing a button.  Hospitality, Tourism & Retail students will gain expertise in; digital photography, staging, lighting, customer service, management, spending per person, sales techniques, goal attainment, park operations, and sales commissions.

We will train you in the following areas and you will gain real-life work experience in:

Guest Excellence & Customer Service

• Greet and welcome guests, directing them to the photo capture locations.
• Learn what makes Hospitality, Tourism & Retail successful.

Photo Capture

• Setup and operation of some of the most advanced digital photography, AI, and cloud technology equipment.
• Setup and operation of lighting levels, exposures in all types of weather conditions.
• Stage and pose to capture life-long memories.

Sales

• Interact with guests. Learn techniques on pitching a sales spiel and how to upsell packages.
• Become an expert - Learn how to operate and maintain a Photo POS System to include photo editing, printing, sorting, and packaging.
• Present retail displays on Photo Kiosks.
• Gain knowledge in financial projections, spending per person, sales tracking and reporting for commissions.

Pay is $16.00 per hour.
