The right Social Media Intern checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
The Social Media Intern is responsible for assisting the Social Media and Public Relations team with the social media presence for Dollywood Parks & Resorts, including influencer relations, social content support and social media community management support.
Dollywood will provide the intern:

- Working knowledge of a marketing department with a focus on social media
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist the social media team in executing all interactive efforts across social media, including influencers, social content, community management and social media reporting
- Assist the social media team in maintaining influencer inquiries and partnerships via AspireIQ, and scheduling and creating content for Pink Jeep and Dollywood Parks & Resorts’ channels via Sprout Social
- Work with Dollywood Parks & Resorts personnel to obtain, develop and proof content for all social/PR campaigns
- Work with Public Relations and Social Media team to support PR and Dollywood Parks & Resorts’ events (media visits, park events, etc.)
- Assist in social media analytics tracking for Dollywood Parks & Resorts’ channels and evaluate results to adjust strategy to improve/meet goals
- Monitor all social media channels via Sprout on a daily/frequent basis, identifying issues or opportunities, and interacting with the Social Media Supervisor to address needs

Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- At least junior-level status at a college, univsrsity or technical school
- Concentration in Communications, Social Media, Marketing and/or related field
- Excellent multi-tasking skills required to manage and create daily digital content
- Adhere to team scheduling requirements including nights, weekends and holidays, as required
- Interest in theme park, entertainment inductry, brand marketing, preferred but not required
- Must submit to a post-employment offer criminal background check

- Ability to move, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
