We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are looking for a fast paced work environment where you will be able to influence the direction of a new company. As an Operations Manager Intern you will be responsible for safety and customer service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer safety and satisfaction
- Work with fellow team members to meet customer needs and daily goals
- Create a safe and fun atmosphere
- Discover the importance of operations management in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
- Work closely with General Managers to learn the various elements of operations within an attractions including administrative tasks, daily operations, sales, customer service, and more!
- Participate as an Adventure Park Guide, guiding our guests through the Adventure Park elements such as our ropes course and Flying Ox.
Timeline
First 2-4 Weeks
- Train as a team member on various operational tasks including ticket sales, customer service, and basic operational skills.
- Become certified on all Adventure Park elements and safety protocols.
- Gain a deeper understanding of tour style zip-line experiences.
Following 2 weeks
- Train as a team lead in various areas of the business.
- Learn to lead a small team and management interpersonal conflict.
- Develop your management skills as you lead shifts.
Remaining 6-8 weeks
- Train as a member of the management team learning skills related to invoicing, customer disputes, injuries, personnel matters and basic Human Resources skills.
- Gain a deeper understanding of how to manage a team.
- Participate in the onboarding of new employees.
Qualifications
- Strong team player
- Must be comfortable with heights
- Must enjoy working outdoors
- Decisive and able to quickly make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely reliable
- Able and willing to work flexible schedules/shifts
- Desire to act as an Operations Manager or other manager in a future role
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
