This position is responsible for working with the Marketing Team in the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the park’s marketing programs and activities. Under the direction of the supervising staff member to whom the intern directly reports, intern will be immersed in the marketing of a world-class vacation destination with exposure to all marketing, regardless of specialization. Intern will build relationships with media partners; learn and understand radio/TV promotions and have the opportunity to cross train with multiple properties. Intern also will assist in event planning, preparation and execution, media relations, and promotion execution as required. In turn, intern will satisfactorily complete individual program requirements to satisfy college/university credit and/or course study requirements.
Dollywood will provide the intern:

- Working knowledge of a marketing department
Internship
- Explore The Dollywood Company’s history and culture to better contribute to the key messaging for assigned projects.
- Represent the Dollywood Company brands through interaction with visiting media
- Communicate accurate, compelling and timely information regarding The Dollywood Company that is consistent with marketing messages.
- Understand the phone and computer systems used daily.
Marketing/Promotions:
- Assisting in execution of marketing campaigns including onsite activation to drive attendance and increase brand awareness
- Assist in execution of media promotions
- Facilitate radio remotes, fulfill radio promotions and contests
- Generate media kits to distribute to partners to advance media campaigns/promotions.
- Assist in execution of sponsor and retail partner relationships
- Generate post campaign performance evaluations, recaps and related insights for broader team review
- Assist Marketing Managers with various tasks
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field. (Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Social Media or related field emphasis.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Cloud
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check including motor vehicle
- Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined
- Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information
